A hard working local team that has improved green spaces in Yorkshire has been identified as exceptional. The Clifton Learning Partnership were recognised at Rotherham Town Hall for creating a better play space for families in the Eastwood and surrounding areas.
The Allocation of the very first Yorkshire and Humberside Playground Partnership Community Champions Award was presented to representatives of the group by the worshipful Mayor of Rotherham Councillor Eve Rose Keenan.
Mayor Keenan congratulated the group and said ” This is a fantastic achievement for the Clifton Learning Partnership and super recognition for Rotherham, yet again this highlights the vast contributions and hard work that many of our groups voluntarily contribute to communities across the town, well done to all”.
Patrick Meleady, manager at Pitsmoor Adventure Playground a Yorkshire and Humberside Playground Partnership committee member said “It was a great honour and a privilege to present the award alongside Mayor Keenan, this is the very first Yorkshire and Humberside Playground Partnerships Community Champion Award and the Clifton Learning Partnership have been working tirelessly to create an adventure playground space, always going the extra mile, the CLP team have made an excellent contribution to play in the Eastwood and surrounding areas, it’s a super Project and a worthy winner of our first ever Community Champion Award”.
