Art Space opened in Memory of Green Spaces Forum treasurer

A new and exciting art space has officially been opened by the Worshipful Lord Mayor Of Sheffield Magid  Magid at  Sheffield’s award  winning Pitsmoor  Adventure   Playground. The space created to encourage children and families to engage in arts and crafts was developed to build on the work of the late great community artist and friend of Playwork in Sheffield Barbara Morris. Barbara volunteered her time to help establish the playground  but sadly passed away earlier this year.  Patrick Meleady charity manager said “Barbara was a real inspiration to children, young people, families and communities from across Sheffield and was instrumental in the playgrounds  development, it is a real joy to see this magnificent space created in Barbara’s memory where families will be able to participate in arts and crafts.”  The Worshipful Lord Mayor Magid Magid said ” Barbara was amazing and delivered tremendous arts and crafts sessions I am absolutely delighted to officially be here today to officially open the Barbara Morris Art Space.”
