All things Scottish was celebrated on January 25th at Sheffield’s award winning Pitsmoor Adventure Playground as local families came together and enjoyed an amazing Burns night, full of fun. On offer was a dazzling array of activities including Scottish dancing, Poems, tatties, neeps, haggis and a create your own tartan competition took place in the Barbara Morris Art Space. In attendance leading the celebrations was a real Scottish hero Alan Hancock in full Scottish attire and Guinness World Record holder Ashlee Male who delivered an amazing hoola hoop workshop.
Patrick Meleady Charity manager said ” Our children, young people and families love celebrating diversity and Burns night 2019 in the Barbara Morris Art Space was a magical experience for all, the tartans were lovely, the hoola hoop session and Scottish dancing made it a super night.”
Uri Renie who supported the event from SIV Ltd said ” It was a great night celebrating Scottish culture and heritage, the families loved it.”
Sebastian aged 13 said ” I didn’t know what to expect I liked the man in the kilt and dancing but the haggis is not for me!”
